The Horror Icon Series: Postcards

This is the beginning of a new series celebrating icons of horror classics in mini-print form. How old were you when Drew picked up the phone and played the game that set off an iconic franchise? Her role in that film is comparable to Janet Leigh in Psycho!

Jamie Lee Curtis is an original Scream Queen. Staring in Halloween at only 19 years old, she went on to roles in The Fog and Prom Night but was able to break into the mainstream, (one of my personal favorites is 1994's True Lies). Here she is preserved as both the young Laurie and today's battle hardened but post-traumatic warrior.

Drew Berrymore plays a small but essential role in the classic Scream (1996) —a film which revitalized the slasher genre. Like Janet Leigh 30 years before her she left an indelible mark on cinema history and became (once again) a cultural moment. She also reinforced the importance of knowing your cinema trivia.
