Here is a semi-exhaustive list of figure drawing sessions in the Pittsburgh metro area! This does not include drawing classes which are different.

Figure drawing sessions are a low cost and low barrier event for artists of all skill levels to practice translating the human figure from the 3D to the 2D plane. This is a fundamental communication skill and gives us a deeper understanding of form and texture. Regardless of your artistic aspirations—drawing teaches a different way of thinking and observing the world. With the pandemic... being where it is, sessions have been slowly coming back on board. I'm trying to bring back a comprehensive list of these regular figure drawing sessions! If I missed one, let me know. I want to promote everyone!!

Maple Leaf

Thursdays in October for 2023
The Maple Leaf 115 Sedwick St Millvale, PA 15209
This is the latest update from the organizer Francis:
"Greetings To All,
Drawing will be returning to Maple Leaf (formerly Panza Gallery) on October 5th in Millvale.  Maple Leaf is under the direction of Brian Wolovich, and is dedicated to fostering the arts, music, and community activities.  Figure drawing will be in the newly finished room up stairs, and will have: model stand, folding chairs, overhead lights, along with modeling lights.  Bathroom and slop sink are also on the same floor as the drawing room.  Models have been scheduled for the entire month of October.  Timed poses will go from several short ones, and end with a single pose lasting around 60 min.  Cost will be $10 per three hour session.  For the October session, will need to bring your own table or easel.  With good attendance, I hope to have small drawing tables and a coffee pot going into November.  As a Luddite, I do not do any social media, but trust many of you will pass the word on to friends about a return of drawing to Millvale.  My routine will be one of sending out a drawing session notice one week, and include: location, time, cost, and model's name.  I look forward to seeing many of you in October.
— Francis"
