Tarot Card Design Workshop

Saturday, June 13th 12–3PM

Join us for a one-day Tarot Card Design Workshop—a hands-on, creative session where you'll explore the history and structure of Tarot, and begin developing your own unique cards.

In this workshop, you'll:

  • Learn a brief history of Tarot and the components of a deck (including the differences between types)
  • Choose a card and identify key themes, symbols, and personal inspirations for your design
  • Begin laying out and working on your own card(s)

By the end of the day, you’ll walk away with:

  • A deeper understanding of how Tarot works
  • Creative direction for your own deck
  • The beginnings of a personal Tarot card project to build on

Whether you're an artist, a Tarot enthusiast, or just curious, this workshop is the perfect starting point. No prior experience needed—just bring your creativity!

Urban Sketching

Sundays from June 14th to July 19th (5 classes) 12:30–3:30PM

Whether you have experience with urban sketching or not this class will be a unique and fun exploration of drawing and painting on location.

If you’ve never done urban sketching, it is the act of posting up somewhere with a sketchbook and rendering not just what you see, but the vibe of a location in your sketchbook. People taking this class are encouraged to approach this with curiosity and not with the persuit of making “the perfect drawing”.

Students are encouraged to experiment with their materials in an effort to create expressive and experimental compositions in their sketchbooks.

Procreate Portrait Workshop

Saturday, July 11th 12–3PM

In this one-day workshop, students will learn how to create expressive digital portraits using Procreate. This class is perfect for beginners and those looking to build their digital illustration skills, with a focus on capturing likeness, proportions, and personal style.

Students are welcome to bring their own iPad with Procreate installed.

If you don’t have a device, iPads will be provided for use during the class.

If you are bringing your own, please make sure Procreate is downloaded (and updated) in advance.

Participants should also bring a photo reference of a person they would like to draw. If you don’t have one, a selection of reference images will be available to choose from.

Join us for a fun and creative day exploring digital portraiture!
